SIKYUNG SUNG

READ IN KOREAN

Sikyung Sung is participating in MINDBOOM 2026: Magical Thinking at the Songzhuang Contemporary Art Archive (SCAA) in Beijing. A collaborative exhibition bringing together 16 artists from Korea and China, the exhibition delves into the subjective framework that shapes our understanding of the world.

Resonating with the exhibition’s central inquiry, Sung presents four abstract paintings where spontaneous brushstrokes and dynamic rhythm manifest a mode of perception that transcends rational logic to trace the complex ways human beings weave meaning into the material world and generate a reality from memory, sensation, and visual language.
