May 13 – August 2, 2026

BB&M is pleased to share that Haevan Lee’s Buffer Zone (2021) and Goliaths (2018) are currently on view in The Chronicles of the City We Wrote, an exhibition presented as part of Goyang Art Festival 2026 – Urban Synopsis, organized by the Goyang Cultural Foundation.

Within landscapes that at first appear untouched by human intervention, geometric markers alluding to military facilities, minefields, and restricted boundaries emerge across the terrain, while birds inhabiting protected zones move freely through them. Set against sites of limited access, Lee transforms landscapes marked by accumulated tensions and systems of control into imagined realms beyond reality, rendering within them layered scenes animated by the enduring vitality of non-human life.

The exhibition takes place at Aram Museum of Art and Gallery Nuri within Goyang Aram Nuri, and examines the relationships between the city, community, and contemporary society from diverse perspectives.
