Dahoon Nam is participating in the group exhibition Cashing Out Schrödinger’s Cat at H.Art1, Hana Bank’s cultural complex in Seoul. The exhibition brings together five artists working across video, installation, sculpture, and painting to examine the structures of selection that shape social memory, labor, and visibility, thereby recuperating overlooked memories, objects, and sensations.

Nam presents a new work, Centre Pompidou Daiso (2026), in which objects from the eponymous discount store, as well as common detritus of consumer culture—trash bags and cardboard boxes—are used to reconfigure familiar works from the canon of modern and contemporary art. The piece extends Nam’s broader investigation into how artistic value is produced, complicating the distinction between art and non-art and questioning the hierarchies that sustain them.
