Field Memory | Nam June Paik Art Center

Heecheon Kim has collaborated with the renowned contemporary composer Okkyung Lee on Field Memory, a sound work commissioned by the Nam June Paik Art Center in celebration of Paik’s 90th anniversary.
"According to the press release from the Nam June Paik Art Center, the work “portrays a person who remembers only what [s]he hears with ears, not what [s]he see with eyes . . . . Away from their familiar way of working, these two artists created a new artistic achievement together. The aural immersion created in Field Memory becomes an experiment on how far we can leave from our familiar way of sense.”
