BB&M’s presentation in Frieze Seoul encompasses painting, sculpture, video, and wall-based works by the gallery artists, including such internationally acclaimed figures as Lee Bul, Minouk Lim, and Bae Young-whan, alongside Sikyung Sung, among the most closely watched of the younger generation of painters in Korea, and Jinjoon Lee, whose recent media work Good Morning, Mr. G-Dragon, made in collaboration with the eponymous K-pop star, paid homage to Nam June Paik while exploring the nature of human existence in a world ever more permeated by technology. The presentation also includes Miko Veldkamp and Alex Dodge, two New York-based artists rising in recognition and straddling different visual and cultural zones, the melancholic postcolonial diaspora in the case of Veldkamp to the dizzying contemporaneity of algorithmically structured worlds in the case of Dodge.
