MINOUK LIM

Minouk Lim's works are on view in Cinemedia_After Cinema at the Busan Museum of Contemporary Art from September 13, 2025 to February 18, 2026. Bringing together works by more than sixty filmmakers and artists, including Jean-Luc Godard, Tacita Dean, and Rosa Barba, the exhibition features 12 installations and 99 screenings spanning experimental film, documentary, animation, and moving-image installations.

Minouk Lim's works in the exhibition includes The Weight of Hands, New Town Ghost, S.O.S – Adoptive Dissensus, and S.O.S – Run Shin Shin. Internationally recognized as a leading contemporary artist, Lim works across diverse media to explore the turbulent cultural and political dynamics of Korean society. Her practice probes historical ruptures and collective trauma, excavating repressed memories and transforming them into resonant reflections on Korea’s modern experience.
