BB&M is delighted to present “Hanging Around,” opening on March 7. The exhibition brings together new and old works by artists and friends of the gallery, complemented by creations of young Korean furniture designers—chairs, tables, and lighting—slipping comfortably into the show’s low-key attitude. Favoring humor and wit over polemic, and non-committal inquisitiveness over dogma, it offers a companionable experience. Cool, smart, and lighthearted by turns, the works remind us that contemporary art can still edify and enrich the intellect and the senses without being entirely joyless.
